Our wishes, our prayers and all of our hearts are with the families. We have a personal connection with one that passed away at this shooting. I personally live about 10 minutes from this theater. It is where my family have enjoyed movies for at least 5 years. Though we are blessed to be safe, I have mixed emotions because it is always weird to know that you are safe while others suffer. This is part of the world, tragedies do happen and though it makes us at times feel like we have no control or power, we have to stand together and be the strength for the loved ones, for the people and for those who truly need our help.
In great times of tragedy we band together and help those who need it. That is what I personally stand for, that is what I want to teach my own child and that is what DENVER BAND RELIEF IS ALL ABOUT.
We will be holding a charity 08/18/12 at CASSELMANS, we need people, music, sponsors, anyone willing to help. This event will have raffles, bake sale, ART, and will be donations only, no cover but donations are appreciated. Live music and DJ TBA. It is the one way I know I can help. 100% proceeds will be given as a donation the families. I will be contacting political leaders to help. All we want is good support and positive people to come and be a part of this event. The costs of the venue, the promotion and everything else will be either sponsored or will come out of our pockets I do not want to take one dime of this; I want 100% to go to the children and families. Thank you for your time, thank you for reading this and I hope truly to gain each and everyone whether promoter, band, artists, person, and child who ever support during this time.
